Good AdSense Strategies to Follow

Google AdSense is a seemingly very easy thing to use and millions of websites all over the Internet have it installed to generate income and create a revenue stream that relies mostly, if not entirely, on traffic generation. They think that if they draw traffic, they create money by having more people to click on the ads. However, this is not always true. Sometimes, content is not conducive to the right ads appearing on a page. This might be as simple as a wide array of content resulting in random ads that your readers may not be interested in or too many ads, forcing your readers to leave your site too early. Whatever the problem though, it is important to know which strategies work best for your AdSense optimized site.First off, you should worry about placement. Ads on a page need to be placed in a way that they do not get in the way of content. If you’ve ever been a blog and had ads before a post, after a post, atop the page, and along the side of the page, you probably have the same thought as most – what a bunch of spam. However, if the same site has only two sets of ads, they appear to augment the content rather than take it over and can be actually helpful to visitors.
So, it is important that when you create your content and integrate ads into it, that you ensure the ads are placed in a way that they are actually helpful and not in the way. Make your content accessible and then put ads below or alongside it, never above it.
Second, you should always entertain the possibility of what kind of ads your content is going to make appear. AdSense works contextually, guessing what your page is about based on keyword content and then placing ads that match. If your content is highly random – such as a personal blog – you might have trouble getting a theme in your ads. However, if you write about a single thing regularly, you can expect a more regular, effective round of ads to appear.
Additionally, know that some ad categories are worthwhile and others are not. If your page is about books and a bunch of ads for bookstores or publishers pop up, don’t expect much more than $0.05 per click. However, if you write about gold jewelry or Forex exchanges, you might get anywhere between $0.50 and $1 per click on those ads because of how valuable those keywords are. If your goal is to make money through Adsense keep these things in mind.
If you build a decent website, maintain a good SEO strategy to manipulate the context filters of AdSense and place your ads effectively, you can almost always be sure that you will make a few dollars through your ads. Then, you can start worrying about building up your traffic, almost assuring yourself of a much greater profit potential from a quality website.
